LOS ANGELES – The fans have voted, and in the millions: Stars of TV, film and music picked up their trophies Wednesday night at the 38th annual People's Choice Awards.

Backstage, Emma Stone, winner of the favorite-movie-actress award, had tongue firmly in cheek when asked how she felt: "It sucked," she joked to reporters. "This is so crappy. No, it's so nice." The star of The Help, wearing a green Gucci jacket and dark trousers, choked up onstage during her acceptance speech. But she recovered enough later to tell reporters her style icon. "Diane Keaton, for sure," she said.

In fact, many stars say the People's Choice Awards are their favorite of the awards season, which is just getting underway. Hosted by Kaley Cuoco of CBS' The Big Bang Theory at the Nokia Theatre, the awards were handed out after a record-breaking 230-million-plus online votes at the website and via Facebook and Twitter. Faith Hilland Demi Lovato provided the musical performances.

Dressed in a red poufy dress with red spike heels, Cuoco opened the show shouting, "I've always loved this show because you, the fans, are in control of who wins!"

That said, Nathan Fillion, who took home the award for favorite TV drama actor for CBS' Castle, summed up the stakes during his turn on the red carpet: Winning, he noted, "depends on the Internet savvy of your fans." Later, during his acceptance speech, he was explicit: "To the fans, let this giant crystalized tear of victory be a symbol of your excellent taste!"

Social media got some kudos as well. "Love those Twitter fans. Keep it up, guys!" saidNeil Patrick Harris, star of How I Met Your Mother, during his acceptance speech for the favorite-TV-comedy-actor award.

Traces performs on 'America's Got Talent' - watch video!!

Generally the results shows for "America's Got Talent" are long, drawn-out hours featuring a few performances that you can fast-forward your DVR through in order to get to the results. But on Wednesday night's show (July 20), there was a an acrobatic act called "Traces" that blew us away.

It started out with one guy doing tricks while he spun in a giant metal ring, which was cool enough, but soon he was joined by 5 other men plus one woman and the group started performing all sorts of pole stunts and tumbling tricks.

It was amazing. The choreography was spectacular and they even seemed to be telling a bit of a story during the act. We definitely think if Steven Retchless doesn't win, he should try to get in with this group. Traces is scheduled for an off-Broadway run at the Union Square Theatre, running from July 29 to Oct. 9.

Watch Animoto Videos Via AirPlay and Apple TV On Your TV

Animoto, the video slideshow creation service which allows consumers to make professional quality videos, announced the integration with Apple AirPlay, giving users the ability to watch their videos on their TV.

Thus, videos created with Animoto that exist on an iPod, iPad, or iPhone, can now be played on a television at the click of a mouse using AirPlay. According to Brad Jefferson, the CEO of Animoto, “Animoto videos have always looked great on a big-screen TV and now it’s one-click easy for families to enjoy their Animoto videos on their home televisions without messing with wires or requiring a DVD Player.”

Jefferson goes on to say, “In less time than it takes to pop popcorn, you can now create a professional-looking Animoto video from photos on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch and play it for your family on your TV.”

The AirPlay functionality has been made very simple for consumers to utilize. They first need to update their iOs to version 4.3 and check that their applications for Animoto and Apple TV are in sync with the up to date versions.

The user will then hit the AirPlay icon, which will display in the bottom right of the video player, to show a list of devices they can utilize to play their videos. They will then simply select the TV option.

The TV viewing can be accessed through the iPad and Animoto iPhone applications as well as through the usage of mobile Safari via the iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad.
