Odd Future's frontman Tyler, the Creator didn't pull out the hysterics and wild antics during his acceptance speech, but instead decided to keep it a little less dramatic as he accepted the Moonman for Best New Artist.

The 'Yonkers' creator walked onstage with his rap crew, after his mother showed added enthusiasm by jumping in the air and yelling out congratulations for her son. FromFoster the People with 'Pumped Up Kicks,' Wiz Khalifa for 'Black and Yellow,' Big Sean featuring Chris Brown in 'My Last' and Kreayshawn for 'Gucci Gucci,' Tyler snagged one of the most coveted nods of the night.

Though he said he didn't write an acceptance speech, the California native shared his excitement for actually attending the show itself as he couldn't believe he was in attendance. He left the stage with some motivating words, letting kids tuned in know that they could someday stand in his position if they followed their dreams.

Glen Campbell looks forward with gratitude

At Glen Campbell's house in Malibu, a large framed painting of the great Gypsy jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt hangs over a baby grand piano in the living room.

Campbell is proud of the portrait of the musician who quite possibly is Campbell's biggest hero on the instrument with which both men came to fame, happily showing it off to a visitor on an overcast morning recently.

"I was walking down the street — not this one…," he says, prompting his wife, Kim, to remind him: "Rodeo Drive."

"Rodeo Drive," he confirms, "and here's Django! I bought it for $225."

Kim, sitting next to him around the island amid their kitchen, calmly interjects, "Not on Rodeo you didn't!"

Campbell pauses, looks at her, reconsidering his remark. "How much was it?"

"I think it was more like $2,000."

He pauses again for a split second, then jokes, "Well, shoot, sell it back. I've seen it enough now."

Some of the facts of his 75 years may be getting a bit hazy as the five-time Grammy-winning singer of hits including "By the Time I Get to Phoenix," "Galveston," and "Rhinestone Cowboy" contends with the Alzheimer's disease he recently made public.

But the quick country-boy wit, long a staple of his concerts and a big part of what made him a TV star four decades ago on "The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour," is intact, ever-ready to pounce on a good setup line.

To upend the adage, at Campbell's house lights may be starting to flicker, but he's still home and happy to be there.

Hard at work

Campbell decided to share his condition because he wants to continue performing as long as he can, and he wants audiences to know the truth.

"Ghost on the Canvas," which he is describing as his final album, comes out Tuesday, and next year he plans to go full bore into his Goodbye Tour, envisioned as a string of performances in various countries that may stretch as long as two years, if Campbell's health holds out. He's starting it with a handful of dates in the U.S., including an Oct. 6 show at ClubNokia in Los Angeles, before fall dates in England, Ireland and Scotland.

He speaks of the new album with great zeal, but on this day as he struggles with some of the symptoms most commonly associated with Alzheimer's — failing memory, occasional disorientation, difficulty completing conversations — he often looks for help from Kim and from Julian Raymond, his cowriter and producer.

"It's your amazing grace," Campbell sings, delivering the title and key hook from one of the five new songs he and Raymond wrote for the collection. "That melody is so great. I've got that song in my head all the time." Indeed, he returns to it repeatedly throughout the hourlong interview. He's dressed in a comfortable T-shirt and jeans, his once perfectly coiffed ash blond hair short and unkempt for a midmorning visit.

That and the other Campbell-Raymond originals are interwoven with songs written for him by longtime fans and friends of Raymond, including Jakob Dylan, Paul Westerberg and Guided by Voices' Robert Pollard, as well as half a dozen instrumental interludes representing periods across Campbell's life.

Describing the experience of working on a new album at 75, Campbell says: "I was surprised. It was so neat, everything just came together. The one that keeps going through my head is 'It's Your Amazing Grace,'" and he sings the phrase again. "I had to do that about 20 times. I finally got it."

Raymond shakes his head and smiles. "He did it twice." Turning to Campbell, he adds: "You've never done anything 20 times."

Steve Wozniak Comments On Jobs Resignation Announcement

Gina Smith editor-in-chief of BYTE.com and co-author of  iWoz: How I Invented the Personal Computer and Had Fun Along the Way (available at the iBook Store) spoke to Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak yesterday and according to BYTE the announcement that Jobs was stepping down as Apple CEO made him “happy for Jobs. ”
According to Steve Wozniak Jobs, “really has had to sacrifice a lot to run Apple. I mean, just your time, everybody wants you day and night, that’s what I mean by sacrifices. It takes so much out of anyone to be under just the constant pressure and demands like that. ”
Wozniak later added that, “Steve needs now to just have some ‘Steve time. “He deserves it.”
The best part of the interview with Wozniak was his confidence that Apple will continue because Wozniak said, “You’ve got to remember. He was surrounded by great, great people at Apple … and those people are still there. I don’t think the core Apple culture will change because of (Jobs’) leaving, not for a long time. Apple is set up.”
Wozniak is right there are a lot of good people at Apple. It’s doubtful that things will change — at least not immediately. Although the people remaining at Apple have a legacy that is very important to uphold and nurture. We think they can keep that legacy alive and we have confidence in the future of Apple, Inc.

Strongest quake this coast since 1944!!

The most powerful earthquake to strike the East Coast in 67 years shook buildings and rattled nerves from Georgia to Maine on Tuesday. Frightened office workers spilled into the streets in New York, and parts of the White House, Capitol and Pentagon were evacuated.
There were no reports of deaths or serious injuries.

The National Cathedral said its central tower and three of its four corner spires were damaged, but the White House said advisers had told President Barack Obama there were no reports of major damage to the nation's infrastructure, including airports and nuclear facilities.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake registered magnitude 5.8 and was centered 90 miles southwest of Washington. It was mild by West Coast standards, but the East Coast is not used to quakes of any size. The last quake of equal power to strike the East Coast was in New York in 1944.
Tuesday's quake briefly raised fears of a terror attack less than three weeks before the 10th anniversary of Sept. 11.
"I thought I was having maybe a heart attack, and I saw everybody running," said Adrian Ollivierre, an accountant who was in his office on the 60th floor of the Empire State Building when the shaking began. "I think what it is, is the paranoia that happens from 9/11, and that's why I'm still out here -- because, I'm sorry, I'm not playing with my life."
Two nuclear reactors at the North Anna Power Station, in the same county as the epicenter, were automatically taken off line by safety systems, said Roger Hannah, a spokesman for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

At the Pentagon, a low rumbling built until the building itself was shaking, and people ran into the corridors of the complex. The shaking continued there, to shouts of "Evacuate! Evacuate!" The main damage to the building, the largest single workspace for the federal government, came from a broken water pipe.

The Park Service closed all monuments and memorials on the National Mall, and ceiling tiles fell at Reagan National Airport outside Washington. Many nonessential workers in Washington were sent home for the day. The Capitol was reopened by late afternoon for people to retrieve their things.

The National Cathedral said cracks had appeared in the flying buttresses around the apse at one end. "Everyone here is safe," the cathedral said on its official Twitter feed. "Please pray for the Cathedral as there has been some damage."

In lower Manhattan, the 26-story federal courthouse, blocks from ground zero of the Sept. 11 attacks, began swaying, and hundreds of people streamed out of the building.
The New York police commissioner, Raymond Kelly, was in a meeting with top deputies planning security for the upcoming anniversary when the shaking started. Workers in the Empire State Building spilled into the streets, some having descended dozens of flights of stairs.

"I thought we'd been hit by an airplane," said one worker, Marty Wiesner.
New York District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance was starting a news conference about the dismissal of the sexual assault case against Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the former head of the International Monetary Fund, when the shaking began. Reporters and aides began rushing out the door until it became clear it was subsiding.

On Wall Street, the floor of the New York Stock Exchange did not shake, officials said, but the Dow Jones industrial average sank 60 points soon after the quake struck. The Dow began rising again a half-hour later and finished the day up 322 points.

Shaking was felt as far south as Charleston, S.C., as far north as Maine and as far west as Cincinnati and Atlanta. It also was felt on Martha's Vineyard, off the coast of Massachusetts, where Obama is taking summer vacation and was starting a round of golf when the quake struck at 1:51 p.m.

Obama led a conference call Tuesday afternoon on the earthquake with top administration officials, including his homeland security secretary, national security adviser and administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

The Virginia quake came a day after an earthquake in Colorado toppled groceries off shelves and caused minor damage to homes in the southern part of the state and in northern New Mexico. No injuries were reported as aftershocks continued Tuesday.

The largest East Coast quake on record was a 7.3 that hit South Carolina in 1886. In 1897, a magnitude-5.9 quake was recorded at Giles County, Va., the largest on record in that state.

The Glee Project Recap: Season One Finale

On the season one finale of The Glee Project the final four compete for the grand prize–a seven episode guest starring role on FOX’s hit TV show Glee. The stakes are high for Alex Newell, Damian McGinty Jr., Lindsay Pearce, and Samuel Larsen. Keep reading to find out the surprising ending and who will be on Glee!
On tonight’s episode it’s all about “Glee-ality.” Samuel, 19; Lindsay, 20; Alex, 18; and Damian, 18 find out their homework assignment is to sing Journey’s “Don’t Stop Belivin.” The four are ecstatic to finally sing this song since it’s the anthem of Glee. While waiting to see who their guest mentor is this week, the four participants talk about how the song is so meaningful, as none of them have stopped believing in their dreams.
Casting Director, Robert Ulrich comes in to welcome the guest mentor who is Glee creator, Ryan Murphy. The final four are excited and nervous to perform for him. They begin to sing and Ryan abruptly stops them and asks if they have rehearsed any choreography. Samuel, Lindsay, Alex and Damian start to answer him when he opens the door and all of the season’s eliminated contestants come in! Together they all perform the song.
For the music video this week, it’s announced that everyone will be participating in it and the song is Pink’s “Raise Your Glass.” It’s now time to go over the choreography for their music video with Zach Woodlee. He’s excited to see everyone back together for one last music video.
In vocals, Nikki Anders introduces her husband Adam Anders, who is Glee’s executive music producer as a special guest mentor for the finale.
After everything has been fine-tuned, the crews head to shoot the “Raise Your Glass” video which takes place on top of a skyscraper in Los Angeles. Once the music video is finished, Robert; Nikki; and Zach meet the final four on stage to find out which songs they have selected to perform for Ryan for their Last-Chance Performances. Lindsay selects “Gimmie Gimmie” from the musical Thoroughly Modern Millie; Damian chooses Bobby Darin’s “Beyond the Sea;” Samuel decides on Jolene by Dolly Parton and Alex picks “I Am Changing” from Dreamgirls. The contestants are also told that their former cast mates and previous guest mentors will be watching their performances.

Ryan and Ian Brennan the co-creator of Glee along with Robert and Zach are ready to critique the final four. Lindsay is up first and sings what Ryan says is her best vocal yet. Damian is next and gives an energetic and charming performance. Samuel sings and plays guitar which impresses the judges. Lastly, Alex comes out in drag for his song and the judges call it brave and amazing.
Ryan asks the Glee stars what they think about the final four. Zach then asks them to exit the room so the judges can deliberate. The judges make their decision and Alex, Lindsay, Samuel and Damian are brought back out. Ryan tells Alex that while he is certain he will have a great career, he is not the winner of The Glee Project. Next, Ryan tells Lindsay that she finally showed in the end what he has wanted from her all season but says she isn’t the winner either. It’s now down between Damian and Samuel. Ryan says that Samuel is the winner–he jumps up and down and is very excited. Ryan addresses Damian, who says he is happy for Samuel then Ryan says that Damian is also the winner! It’s a tie therefore both Damian and Samuel will each have a seven episode guest starring role. The surprises aren’t done just yet. Ryan also announces that Lindsay and Alex will each have a two episode guest starring role on Glee.
Season one of The Glee Project has come to an end and the final four: Damian, Samuel, Lindsay and Alex have all seen their dreams come true as they all will be on Glee!

Spoiler: Big Brother 13 HOH Winner For Week 7 Revealed

After the CBS broadcast went off the air, the live HOH competition continued onthe live feeds. For those of you who weren’t able to catch the live episode on CBS, Jeff, Jordan, Shelly, Rachel, Adam, Porsche, and Kalia were given small measuring-size cups and needed to run across a slippery surface and transfer liquid from their large barrel on one end to a large sized glass bowl across from it. The new HOH was crowned once the ball was actually grabbed from the bowl.
If you want to find out what happened during the live feeds and who will be your next Head of Household, keep reading ahead.
In the early goings once the live feed returned, everyone was at about the same level with the outgoing HOH, Daniele, noticing how close everyone was. The equal game, however, came to an end just minutes after as Big Jeff took the lead in the game. Jeff also had an incident where he started choking quite badly on the soap as bubbles poured on him. He joked that maybe he should vomit in his container.
Porsche was the person that seemed to be in second place, but clearly far enough where she likely wasn’t going to beat Jeff. At the end of the competition, it was indeed Jeff who won the HOH, and is the next person who has power in the BigBrother 13 house. After the competition, Dani says that she had a similar HOH competition in her season except the bowl was much bigger. Adam says that he wouldn’t have been able to do this if he didn’t lose all the weight that he did, and says his ankles hurt.
Check out more detailed competition results here.
