Jessica Simpson might be getting a breast reduction before her wedding. But why would she want to get rid of something most women would consider a blessing?

Jess' chest has made headlines since she first thrust herself into the teen music scene, where she faced some stiff competition in fellow pop stars trying to ooze sex appeal like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. However, Jess tried to separate herself from those two by dressing more conservatively and focusing on showcasing her big voice.

It's not surprising that Jess tried to downplay her sex appeal at first -- she's a devout Christian who actually tried to start her career singing Christian songs, much like her fellow busty pop singer Katy Perry. Unfortunately, she was deemed too sexy to use her voice to praise Jesus.

Jessica Simpson says that she used to cry in sixth grade because she was the first girl in her class that had to wear a bra and was upset that she looked so different from her skinny friends. Like Katy Perry, she also considered strapping her breasts down in an effort to hide them.

On top of everything else, Jess has been plagued by breast implant rumors for much of her career. So since being well-endowed has had such a negative effect on her life, she might see getting a breast reduction as a way to feel better about herself. Jessica Simpson also still has her sixth grade mentality -- she reportedly thinks that getting a breast reduction will make her look smaller all over.

Of course there are plenty of other reasons Jessica Simpson might be considering a breast reduction. Large breasts can cause all sorts of health problems, including neck and shoulder pain, numbness, and even migraine headaches. She might also be considering the surgery for aesthetic purposes -- large breasts are prone to sagging over time, so she could be looking into getting a breast reduction and a breast lift to make her chest look better and boost her confidence.

So while many women would see Jess as being blessed, the fact that she's considering going through a serious surgery is evidence that copious cleavage can be a bad thing...
